Inglenook — Privacy Policy

Summary: Your conversations and the media in them are stored in your own iCloud account. Ingleworks does not keep a copy and cannot read them.

1. Where your conversation lives

Messages, notes, pinned media, and corkboard contents are stored in your personal iCloud account under your Apple Account, using Apple's CloudKit service. Ingleworks does not operate a message server and does not store your conversation history. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and your iCloud settings.

2. What passes through our infrastructure

Live presence signals — typing indicators, online status, and the position of an item while you're dragging it — pass through Cloudflare's network so the other person sees them immediately. These are transient coordination signals, not message content. They are relayed in the moment and not written to a database by us.

3. Push notifications

If you enable notifications, delivery is handled by Apple's Push Notification service. We keep the device token needed to route a notification to your device and nothing else attached to it.

4. What we collect

No account with Ingleworks, no email address, no profile, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use anything from the app to train machine-learning models.

If you install from the App Store, Apple provides aggregate, anonymous download and crash statistics as described in Apple's policies.

5. The other person

Inglenook is a two-person app, so anything you send is visible to the person you're talking with, and they can keep it on their device. That's the point of the app, but it's worth stating plainly.

6. Deleting your data

Deleting a conversation removes it from your iCloud storage. Deleting the app and its iCloud data removes your copy entirely. We hold nothing to delete on our side beyond a push token, which expires on its own once the app is removed.

7. Children

Inglenook is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
